13 Days Ethiopia Tour

 

Day 1. Arrival in Addis
Day 2: Fly from Addis Ababa to Semera,
Drive to Dallol and passing through the beautiful landscape of the Afar region one of the hottest and most fascinating places on Earth. Visit the surreal salt flats, colorful sulfur springs and the traditional salt mining areas. Experience the raw beauty of this unique environment.

Day 3. Drive back to Erta Ale
After breakfast , drive to Erta Ale to see the active volcano lava . Up on arrival late afternoon , you will eat your dinner then start hiking to the top where you can see very close to the eruption and spend the night there in a camping .

Day 4 : Return to Addis Ababa via Semera
Early in the morning , enjoy the sunrise at the edge of the volcano then walk dawn to the first camsite , eat your breakfast then continue to Afdera to relax and enjoy at the natural swimming pool ,finally ,drive to Semera for late afternoon fly to Addis . spend the night in Addis ,Jupiter international hotel bole brunch

Day 5.Fly to jinka & visit Mursi  
You will fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka, where you will visit the Mursi Tribe, known for their unique cultural traditions, including the iconic lip plates worn by the women. After spending time learning about their customs and lifestyle, you will spend the night in Jinka.

Day 6. Jinka -Benna -Karo -Turmi
After breakfast, you will travel to visit the Karo Tribe, known for their intricate body painting and scarification practices. On the way, you’ll pass through the Benna region, allowing you to observe the local landscape and culture. After spending time with the Karo people, you will head to Turmi, where you’ll spend the night in Buska Lodge

Day 07 .Turmi -Omorate -Dassanech -Hammer -Turmi
Today, you will drive from Turmi to Omorate, where you’ll visit the Dassanech Tribe, known for their unique customs and way of life along the Omo River. In the afternoon, you’ll explore a Hamer village, where you can witness their rich traditions, such as their elaborate hairstyles and the famous bull-jumping ceremony. After a full day of cultural exploration, you will return to Turmi for the night in Buka Lodge

Day 8. Turmi -Konso
After breakfast, you’ll drive from turmi to visit the Konso Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its terraced hillsides, stone-walled villages, and rich cultural heritage. The Konso people are famous for their agricultural skills and traditional wooden statues called “waka.” You’ll spend time learning about their unique way of life and history before spending the night in Konso in Kanta Lodge

Day 9: Konso to Arba Minch via Dorze Village
Begin your day with a scenic drive from Konso to Arba Minch, enjoying the stunning morning landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the vibrant Dorze Village, known for its unique bamboo huts, weaving traditions, and cultural charm.
After exploring the village, return to Arba Minch for an overnight stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of the area.O/n in Paradise Lodge

Day 10 : Lake Chamo and Forty Springs
After breakfast, embark on a Lake Chamo boat tour, where you’ll witness incredible wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species. Return to the city for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the famous Forty Springs and enjoy a hiking tour through the lush forest, immersing yourself in the natural beauty and spotting more wildlife. Spend the night in Arba Minch, reflecting on the day’s adventures. O/n Paradise Lodge

Day 11 : Addis Abeba to Harar
Fly from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa on Ethiopian Airlines and we will Visit in Dire Dawa Kefira Market and the old Train station which is built by French Continue by vehicle from Dire Dawa to Harar on the way we will see Lake Haromaya and the big Khat market Aweday in Eastern Africa.  Stroll through the 16th century walled city of Harar, the fourth most important city in the Islamic World.  See the home of Arthur Rimbuad, renowned French poet who worked and lived in Harar as a “gun-runner” during the 19th century. 

Day 12 : Visit Harar city
Visit the colorful Islamic market. Tour the National and Harari museums and the house of Ras Mekonnen (father of Haile Selassie.)  In the evening see the “Hyena Man” feeding the hyenas that gather nightly outside the town.

Day 13 : Harar – Dire Dawa – Addis
Morning visit to the colorful Islamic Market and the view of Harar from Hakime Gar Mountains and Drive from Harar to Dire Dawa.  Fly to Addis Ababa.
