11 Days Ethiopia Honeymoon Vacation Tour
Day 1: Arrival – Addis
Up on arrival in Bole international airport and meet our representative then transfer to your Hotel. O/n Addis
Day 2: City tour in Addis
Up on arrival you will be welcoming
by our representative and transfer to your hotel. We will start our tour from Entoto park to have the panoramic view of the city. On the way back, stop by the National
Museum to see Lucy, 3.2-million-year-old bones (female skeleton).
After lunch, followed to see the Holy Trinity Cathedral church built by Emperor Haile Silassie in 1944.
Finally, continue to visit Merkato the biggest open air market in Africa .O/n Addis
Day 3: Addis – Bahir Dar
Fly to BahirDar, In the morning, take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit some of the monasteries hidden on the islands and shores of this sacred lake.
Visit the Zege Penninsula and the monasteries of Azuwa Maryam and Ura Kidane Mehret and the island monastery of Debre Maryam near the outlet of the Blue Nile River. Finish the day with the sunset and spectacular view from the hill of Azewa . O/n Bahirdar
Day 4: Bahir Dar – Gonder
After breakfast, we drive south part of Bahirdar city to see the Blue Nile falls and we do some
walk over the chain bridge to have an over viewe of the Nile falls.
afternoon, drive to Gondar through beautiful mountains of Amhara region to the capital and commercial centre of Ethiopia from the 17th to mid-
19th century. On the way, stop to see Guzara palace built 1572 and it’s called pre –
Gondar empire. The road will take us approximately 4 hours to reach the city of Gondar. O/n Goha Hotel
Day 5. Gondar city tour
After breakfast, we start our city tour by explore the sites of Gondar,including a visit to castles of theRoyal Enclosure. Continue to Emperor Fasiledes Bath, now best known for the annual Christian festival of Timket where local worshippers descend into the pool to commemorate the baptism of Jesus. Lastly, Ras Gimb Palace Museum and the Debre Birhane Selassie church, with the most iconic ceiling murals in Ethiopia. O/n Gonder Goha Hotel
Day 6. Gonder – Lalibela
Fly from Gondar to Lalibela, home to one of the world’s most outstanding sacred sites comprising 11 medieval rock hewn churches.
Overnight in (Sora lodge) Tukul Rooms
Day 7: Lailbela Churches
This morning we visit the Monastery of NakutoLa’ab hewn out of a rock cave.
After lunch, visit the second group of cave churches built by King Lalibela including the famous Bete Georgis which is in a deep pit and is accessible only by a tunnel located nearby.
You also visit the four churches south of the Jordan River. A traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a highlight this afternoon. Overnight Sora Lodge) Tukul Rooms
Day 8. Lalibela – Aksum
Fly from Lalibela to Aksum and take city tour. The tour includes the main stelea park. These famed granite obelisks are relics of this time and have gained UNESCO World Heritage site status. The tallest, the Great stelea, has fallen and broken in to six massive pieces , but when standing was 33 meters (108 feet) tall and weighed about five hundred twenty tones and other remarkable pre
–Christian monuments .
We continue the city tour , visiting the swimming pool of Queen of Sheba , Ezana Inscription
, tomb of King Kaleb and his son King Gebremeskel ,Queen of Sheba’s palace
; the legendary ruler of the south. As well as St. Mary Zion church and the Ark of the covenant.

Day 9: Aksum –Gheralta
After breakfast, drive to visit the temple of Yeha, dating from the 8th to 7th centuries BC, and thought to be the capital of pre-Axumite civilization and the museum. Afterwards, drive minimum for 2 hours to reach Adigrat and stop for a lunch there. After lunch proceed through the state of Tigray, in the afternoon, you will hike to see the most famous and magnificent church of Abune yemata built in the 6thc A.D and
2500m high. This church is unique for its adventure, landscape, and original paintings. O/n in Hawzen (Gheralta lodge)
Day 10. Gheralta -Mekelle
In the morning, visit Maryam Korkor and Daniel Korkor. Both churches involve an approximate one hour hike but offer commanding views of the gheralta beautiful scenery. Then drive back to the town of Hawzen for lunch.
After lunch, drive to south of hawzen town to visit churches of Abreha we Atsbeha
/ Ezana and Saizana/ one of the ancient and most beautiful church in Tigray dated back to the 4th c A.D. O/n Planet Hotel
Day 11. Fly back to Addis
After breakfast, visit the historic city of Mekelle and the top attraction sites,
Yohannes IV palace and museum and mekelle martyrs monument in the morning and fly back in the afternoon to Addis for welfare program at a traditional restaurant in the evening then transfer to Bole airport to depart home.
