Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Welcome to Ethiopia! Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Jupiter Hotel (Bole branch) for an overnight stay. If you arrive in the evening, take time to rest and prepare for your unforgettable journey through Northern Ethiopia’s historic wonders.

Day 2: Addis Ababa – Fly to Mekelle – Drive to Hawzen
Take a morning flight to Mekelle, the capital of Tigray. Upon arrival, begin your scenic drive to Hawzen, passing through the semi-arid Tigrayan highlands. Along the way, stop to explore the Wukro Cherkos rock-hewn church and observe the Al Nejashi Mosque—a historic site associated with the first Muslim refugees in Africa. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes of the Gheralta Mountains as you reach Hawzen, where you’ll spend the night at Gheralta Lodge

Day 3: Hawzen to Axum via Adigrat & Yeha Temple
After breakfast, depart Hawzen and head toward Axum, the ancient capital of the Axumite Empire. En route, stop in Adigrat for a short break, then continue to the Temple of Yeha, believed to be over 2,800 years old. This pre-Axumite temple offers deep insights into Ethiopia’s early civilizations. Arrive in Axum in the afternoon and relax at the Sabean International Hotel, preparing for your next day’s historic tour.

Day 4: Axum City Tour – Stele Fields, Palaces & Churches
Today is dedicated to exploring Axum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Ethiopia’s most legendary ancient city. Begin at the Stelae Park, home to towering granite obelisks that symbolize the former empire’s architectural and engineering feats. Visit the Queen of Sheba’s Pool, the Ezana Inscription, and the tombs of King Kaleb and King Gebremeskel. In the afternoon, explore St. Mary of Zion Church, believed to house the Ark of the Covenant, and tour the church museum. Cap your day with a gentle walk through Axum’s old town before returning to your hotel.

Day 5: Axum to Lalibela via Flight
Transfer to the airport and board your domestic flight to Lalibela, home to Ethiopia’s world-renowned rock-hewn churches. Upon arrival, begin exploring the first cluster of churches, including the iconic St. George Church, carved from a single piece of rock in a cruciform shape. Marvel at the architectural mastery and spiritual ambiance of these 12th-century sacred sites. Overnight stay at Harbe Hotel.

Day 6: Lalibela to Gondar via Flight
After attending early morning mass in one of Lalibela’s ancient churches, visit the second group of churches nestled in the hills. Later, fly from Lalibela to Gondar, the 17th-century royal capital of Ethiopia. In the afternoon, take a guided city tour including the Royal Enclosure (Fasil Ghebbi), Fasilides’ Bath, and the Debre Berhan Selassie Church, known for its ceiling of angelic faces. Day 7: Gondar to Bahir Dar Drive
Depart Gondar by road and enjoy a scenic 180 km drive to Bahir Dar, located on the shores of Lake Tana. Along the way, take in the breathtaking landscapes of the Amhara Highlands. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxed afternoon city tour or walk along the lakefront. Cap your day with a beautiful sunset over Lake Tana. Overnight at Unison Hotel.

Day 8: Lake Tana Monastery Boat Trip & Local Market Visit
After breakfast, embark on a boat trip across Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake. Visit one or two of its centuries-old monastery churches, such as Ura Kidane Mehret, nestled among lush forests and full of vibrant murals. In the afternoon, stroll through Bahir Dar’s bustling local market and engage with the culture and crafts of the region. Overnight again in Bahir Dar at Unison Hotel.

Day 9: Blue Nile Falls Excursion & Sunset Experience
Start the day with a short drive and hike to the majestic Blue Nile Falls (“Tis Issat”), one of Ethiopia’s most iconic natural attractions. Capture photographs of the falls and the local villages along the way. Return to Bahir Dar in the afternoon and enjoy leisure time at the lake or hotel before watching a gorgeous sunset over Lake Tana. Overnight at Unison Hotel.

Day 10: Fly to Addis Ababa – City Tour & Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day city tour including Entoto Hills, the National Museum, and St. George’s Cathedral ,spend the night in Addis Jupiter hotel.

Day 11: Addis Ababa – Jinka – Turmi (via Benna & Mursi Tribes)
Catch a morning flight to Jinka, the gateway to the Omo Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll begin your drive south, visiting the Benna and Mursi tribes—renowned for their unique customs and distinctive lip plates. If your visit coincides with market day, experience the lively Key Afer tribal market. After lunch in Turmi, journey to Omorate and cross the Omo River by traditional canoe to meet the Dassanech tribe, celebrated for their intricate body art and pastoral lifestyle. Return to Turmi for dinner and an overnight stay at the charming Buska Lodge.

Day 12 : Turmi – Karo – Hamer – Turmi
Today’s journey takes you to the Karo tribe, set against stunning Omo River vistas. Known for their elaborate body painting and decorative rituals, the Karo people offer a window into one of Africa’s most photogenic cultures. After returning to Turmi for lunch, visit the Hamer tribe in the afternoon. Learn about their herding traditions, lifestyle, and—if the timing is right—witness the iconic bull-jumping ceremony, a rite of passage for young Hamer men. Spend another enchanting night at Buska Lodge.

Day 13 : Turmi – Konso Highlands and Villages
After breakfast, head toward the scenic Konso Highlands. Upon arrival, explore the Konso Cultural Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its centuries-old stone terraces, communal lifestyle, and carved wooden grave markers known as wagas. Later, visit the impressive “New York Gorge,” a surreal landscape carved by erosion, ideal for honeymoon photography. Overnight at the eco-friendly Kanta Lodge nestled in the heart of Konso.

Day 14 : Konso – Arba Minch – Lake Chamo & Dorze Village
Depart Konso for Arba Minch, passing through fertile valleys and tribal farmlands. Upon arrival, embark on a scenic boat trip on Lake Chamo, known for its large crocodiles, hippos, and water birds.
In the afternoon, visit the Dorze village, located high in the Guge Mountains. Explore their signature beehive-shaped huts, vibrant weaving culture, and panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley. Return to Arba Minch and enjoy a peaceful night at the stunning Paradise Lodge, overlooking lakes Abaya and Chamo.

Day 15 : Arba Minch – Hawassa via Welayta
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Hawassa, traveling through the verdant lands of Welayta. Arrive in Hawassa by afternoon and enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Hawassa, spotting hippos, birdlife, and playful monkeys.

Day 16: Hawassa – Abijatta-Shalla National Park – Addis Ababa
In the morning, visit the vibrant Hawassa Fish Market, a hub of daily life and local flavors. Begin your drive back to Addis Ababa with a stop at Abijatta-Shalla National Park, where you’ll enjoy sightings of flamingos, gazelles, ostriches, and the breathtaking twin lakes. Enjoy a lakeside lunch in Ziway before returning to Addis Ababa.

In the evening, participate in a farewell cultural dinner featuring traditional music and dances. Transfer to Bole Airport for your international flight .
