Day 1: Mekelle – Hawzen
Depart from Mekelle and journey toward Hawzen. En route, visit the twin churches of Abraha we Atsbeha and the serene Wukro Cherkos. In the afternoon, hike up the majestic cliffs to reach the legendary Abune Yemata Guh, one of the most spectacular rock-hewn churches in the world.
Overnight: Hawzen, gheralta lodge

Day 2: Hawzen – Mekelle
Begin the day with a hike to the iconic Mariam Korkor and Daniel Korkor churches, known for their panoramic views and spiritual atmosphere. On the return journey to Mekelle, followed by a visit to Al Nejash Mosque, the first Muslim settlement in Africa and an important interfaith heritage site.
