Day 1 . mekelle – wukro – Gheralta
Departed Mekelle and made a stop to visit the stunning Abraha We Atsbeha Church, renowned for its intricate rock-hewn architecture and historical significance. Continued the journey to the breathtaking Gheralta Mountains, where we set up camp near Mariam Korkor Church for an unforgettable overnight experience surrounded by Tigray’s majestic landscapes.

Day 2. Hike to Abune Yemata guh
After breakfast, we hiked down via a shorter route to visit the spectacular Abune Yemata Church, famous for its dramatic location and beautiful frescoes. On the way down, we stopped at the base for lunch. In the afternoon, we continued to explore the Giyorgis Maykado Church, appreciating its unique history and architecture. The day concluded with an overnight stay at Vision Hotel, providing a comfortable rest after an eventful day.

Day 3. Hawzen – Mekelle – Addis
This morning, we departed from Hawzen and drive to Mekelle, stopping along the way to visit the remarkable Medhani Alem Adikoshu Church. We continued to Wukro to explore the historic Wukro Cherkos Church. Afterward, we transferred to the airport in Mekelle for departure to Addis Ababa, concluding the tour.
